Ingredients

For the Blondie Base
  • 3/4 cup butter (melted) Use unsalted for better flavor control.
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 2 larges eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla Vanilla extract.
  • 2 cups flour All-purpose flour.
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
For the Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup mixed Halloween candy (chopped: Reese's, M&Ms, candy corn) Feel free to substitute with your favorite candies.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Any type of chocolate chips can be used.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
Combining Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined to avoid over-mixing.
  2. Gently fold in the chopped Halloween candy and chocolate chips, being careful not to overwork the batter.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle some reserved candy on top if desired.
  2. Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, or until edges are golden and the center is set.
  3. Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out with the parchment paper and cutting into squares.

Notes
