  • 2 cups ginger ale Use gently to maintain carbonation.
  • 1 cup white grape juice Substitutions include pear juice for a twist.
Apple Decorations
  • small apples (carved with faces) Make sure to carve deep enough for the faces to show.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Brush on carved apples to prevent browning.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by carefully carving simple ghost or spooky faces into the small apples using a paring knife. Make sure to create faces that can withstand the evening festivities.
  2. After carving, brush the faces of the apples with lemon juice. This will help slow the browning process, keeping them fresh and visually appealing throughout your gathering.
Mixing the Punch
  1. In a large punch bowl, combine the 6 cups of apple cider, 2 cups of ginger ale, and 1 cup of white grape juice. Stir gently to mix the ingredients while retaining the fizziness.
Serving
  1. Carefully float the carved apples in the punch. They will add a spooky ambiance while slowly blending their flavors with the drink.
  2. Chill the punch in the refrigerator before serving. When ready to enjoy, pour the punch into small cups and watch the delighted faces as they discover the floating ghosts.

Notes

This punch can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. Add new carved apples as needed to keep the presentation fresh. Avoid freezing due to carbonation in ginger ale.
