Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Use large shrimp for better texture.
  • 4 tbsp 4 tablespoons butter Can be substituted with olive oil for a lighter option.
  • 4 cloves 4 cloves garlic, minced Garlic can burn quickly; sauté carefully.
  • 1 tsp 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust according to heat preference.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season shrimp well for best flavor.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Can be substituted with nutritional yeast.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions. Once it's al dente, drain the spaghetti and set it aside, allowing it to cool slightly.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Make sure it completely melts, creating a rich base for the sauce.
  3. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently until the garlic becomes fragrant but does not brown.
  4. Next, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp for about 3-4 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the shrimp and garlic butter sauce. Toss gently to combine, ensuring each strand of pasta is coated with the delicious sauce.
  6. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy this delightful dish right away!
