Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 325°F. Place the spiral-cut ham in a roasting pan with the cut side facing down. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil to trap moisture.
Baking
- Bake the covered ham in the oven for about 1.5 hours, until thoroughly warmed.
Making the Glaze
- While the ham bakes, combine apple cider, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for about 15 to 18 minutes until thickened.
Glazing the Ham
- Carefully remove the foil from the ham. Brush the surface generously with the warm apple cider glaze.
Final Baking
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F and return the ham, uncovered. Continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes, brushing with more glaze every 5 minutes to caramelize.
Resting and Serving
- Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Store leftovers tightly wrapped in aluminum foil or in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
