Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Evenly layer the cubed day-old bread and cooked, crumbled breakfast sausage across the dish.
Custard Mixture

  2. Pour this custard evenly over the layered bread and sausage, gently pressing down on the bread.
Chilling

  2. Cover the baking dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours.
Baking
