Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry, ensuring it is thin but not tearing.
- Place the Brie cheese in the center of the rolled-out pastry. Generously top it with cranberry jam, allowing it to create a puddle on top without spilling over the edges.
- Carefully fold the pastry over the Brie, fully encasing it in the dough. Use your fingers to pinch and seal the edges, ensuring no gaps remain.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg to make an egg wash. Brush the outside of the pastry with this wash to give it a beautiful golden color as it bakes.
- Transfer the wrapped Brie onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake it for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Once baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve it alongside crackers or sliced bread for easy dipping.
