Main Ingredients
  • 12 pieces Hawaiian sweet rolls, kept connected Sweet and soft base for the sliders.
  • 1 pound deli ham, thinly sliced Opt for thin slices for tenderness.
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese Melts beautifully.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Adds richness to the sliders.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard For a slight tang.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds For added crunch and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion Adds a mild onion flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For a hint of garlic.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, without separating the individual rolls.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer the ham slices evenly on top of the rolls, followed by the Swiss cheese slices.
  5. Reassemble the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, dried onion, and garlic powder.
  7. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the tops are golden and cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Let the sliders cool for about 5 minutes. Then, slice along the roll lines into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

These sliders are easy to customize with different meats or cheeses. Great leftovers that can be reheated.
