Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish to prevent the cobbler from sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the blackberries with 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Stir gently and set them aside.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, remaining brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Stir melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk into the dry mixture. Blend until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and evenly distribute the blackberry mixture on top.
Baking
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
