  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Can be replaced with olive oil for a lighter flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Substitute with garlic powder for a milder taste if desired.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Can try other cheese varieties for varied taste.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Dried oregano can be used as a substitute.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the melted butter and minced garlic in a small bowl and mix well.
  3. Cut the loaf into a grid pattern without cutting all the way through.
  4. Generously coat the loaf with the garlic butter mixture, pushing some into the cuts.
  5. Stuff each cut with a mixture of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsley, salt, and pepper over the top, then wrap in aluminum foil.
Baking
  1. Bake the wrapped loaf in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  2. Unwrap the foil and bake for another 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, let it sit for a few minutes, then serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) wrapped in foil for 10-15 minutes.
