Preparation
  1. Start by heating the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped onions and cook them until they turn golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once the onions are golden, stir in the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the pureed tomatoes and allow the mixture to simmer down until it thickens.
  5. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt, cumin, and garam masala, and stir well to coat the chicken.
  6. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  7. Pour in the cream and mix thoroughly; let it simmer for a few more minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
  9. Serve hot over rice or with naan.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave after thawing overnight.
