Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease your skull-shaped molds with cooking spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips and butter. Melt together in increments of 20-30 seconds, stirring frequently until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and sugar for about 2 minutes until pale and thick.
  4. Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, then gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the molds, filling them about three-quarters full.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, ensuring the edges are set but the center remains soft.
  2. Allow to cool for 1 minute, then carefully unmold the cakes.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

These cakes are best enjoyed the same day, but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Unbaked batter can be frozen for up to 2 months.
