  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste none salt and pepper

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo Adds freshness.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s nicely browned. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks to ensure even browning.
  2. Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess fat from the skillet to avoid greasy tacos.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional few minutes until the spices are thoroughly mixed in and fragrant.
  4. As the beef finishes cooking, warm the taco shells according to the package instructions.
  5. Fill each taco shell with the seasoned beef, adding generous portions of shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese.
  6. Top each taco with pico de gallo for a burst of freshness and flavor.
  7. Serve the tacos immediately while they’re deliciously warm.

Notes

Leftovers can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container. You can also freeze the taco filling for up to 3 months. Just thaw it in the fridge before reheating.
