  • 1 can tomato sauce Base for the chili.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet. Add garlic for the last 30 seconds.
  2. Drain excess grease and transfer to the slow cooker.
  3. Add the black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, corn, and spices to the slow cooker.
Cooking
  1. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Taste and adjust salt, spice, or thickness if necessary.
  3. If chili is too thin, crack the lid for the last 20-30 minutes to thicken.

Notes
