Preparation
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken breasts and sear them until they turn golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the breasts and set them aside.
- In the crockpot, combine the apple cider, sliced onion, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to mix.
- Place the seared chicken breasts in the crockpot and spoon some of the apple cider mixture over the top.
Cooking
- Cover the crockpot and cook the chicken on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Serving
- Serve the chicken hot with the apple cider sauce spooned over the top and pair with your choice of sides.
Notes
