Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 oz espresso Brewed and cooled
  • 1 oz hazelnut syrup
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur Optional; can be substituted with alcohol-free flavoring
  • 2 oz milk or cream Substitute with almond or oat milk for dairy-free option
  • ice cubes To chill the drink
Garnishes
  • chocolate shavings For garnish
  • chopped hazelnuts For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Brew 2 oz of espresso and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the cooled espresso, hazelnut syrup, coffee liqueur, and milk or cream.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice cubes, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to blend and chill the mixture.
  4. Strain the mixture into a martini glass to remove larger ice particles.
  5. Garnish with chocolate shavings and chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing mocktail.

Notes

Allowing espresso to cool prevents the ice from melting too quickly and diluting the drink. Be careful not to skip the garnishing step for enhanced flavor and presentation.
