  • 1 oz packet taco seasoning Commercial or homemade seasoning can be used.
  • 2/3 cup water To mix with the seasoning.
For assembling the tacos
  • 8 pieces hard or soft taco shells Can use various types as preferred.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce For texture and freshness.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Or swap with other cheeses if desired.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes Adds freshness to the tacos.
  • 16 pieces whole pitted black olives For the spider bodies and legs.
  • Sour cream For serving on the side.

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 6 to 7 minutes, breaking up the meat with a spoon until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning packet and 2/3 cup water. Reduce heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the beef simmers, prepare taco shells according to package directions.
  4. Fill each warm taco shell with seasoned ground beef, followed by shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, and diced tomatoes.
  5. To create the spider toppings, place one or two whole olives on each taco for the body and slice extra olives into strips for the spider legs.
  6. Serve immediately with sour cream on the side.
