Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups Chex cereal Look for original flavors like rice or corn.
  • 3 cups pretzels Whole grain pretzels can be used for a healthier option.
  • 2 cups Cheerios Can substitute with another round cereal.
  • 1 cup candy corn Consider M&Ms or chocolate candies for a twist.
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips Dark chocolate or butterscotch chips can be used as substitutes.
  • orange and black sprinkles Use seasonal shapes for fun designs.

Method

Preparation
  1. Combine the Chex cereal, pretzels, and Cheerios in your slow cooker. Set it aside while you prepare the melted chocolate.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips. Melt the chips in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
Cooking
  1. Once melted, pour the chocolate over the cereal mixture in the slow cooker. Gently stir to evenly coat all the pieces with the melted chocolate.
  2. Cook the mixture on low, uncovered, for one hour. Stir every 15 minutes to ensure even cooking without burning.
Finishing Touches
  1. After cooking, spread the mix onto parchment paper. While it’s still warm and sticky, sprinkle the candy corn and orange and black sprinkles generously over the top.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool completely. Once cooled, break it into clusters and store it in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Freeze for long-term storage. Ensure the mix is cooled before freezing to prevent ice crystals.
