Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs chicken wings Look for fresh or organic wings for the best flavor.
  • 1 can Dr Pepper (12 oz) This gives the wings a unique flavor.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Choose your favorite BBQ sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Enhances overall taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season as preferred.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by placing the chicken wings directly into your slow cooker. Make sure they are evenly distributed for consistent cooking.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the Dr Pepper, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is fully integrated.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken wings in the slow cooker. Make sure all wings are well-coated for the best flavor.
Cooking
  1. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  2. Once the cooking time is nearing completion, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C), preparing for that final crispy touch.
Finishing
  1. When the wings are fully cooked, transfer them to a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
  2. Once done, take them out of the oven and serve hot.

Notes

Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. For reheating, use low heat to prevent drying out.
