Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
- Place the sliced apples evenly in the greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until well blended.
- Pour the melted butter into the dry ingredient mixture and stir until it resembles wet sand.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the sliced apples.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Allow the apple crisp to cool slightly before serving, ideally warm with a scoop of ice cream.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months before baking. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
