For the crust and toppings
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz)
  • 8 oz breakfast sausage (bulk pork sausage) Use well-seasoned sausage.
  • 1 cup frozen shredded hash browns, thawed Make sure hash browns are thawed to prevent moisture.
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend You can substitute with cheddar or other cheese.
For the egg mixture
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk Can substitute with half-and-half or evaporated milk.
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese
For assembly
  • Nonstick cooking spray for a 10 x 15-inch rimmed sheet pan
  • Black olive slices (for spiders) and sliced green onion Optional for decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Take the crescent dough out of the fridge about 15 minutes before starting to help it press into the pan easily.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Cooking the sausage
  1. Spray a 10 x 15-inch rimmed sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes, breaking it into crumbles until no pink remains. Drain well on paper towels.
Assembling the pizza
  1. Unroll and press the crescent dough across the bottom of the pan and slightly up the sides.
  2. Evenly scatter the cooked sausage, thawed hash browns, and shredded Mexican cheese blend over the crust.
Baking
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, kosher salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese until fully blended.
  2. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the toppings.
  3. Bake for 25 minutes or until the crust is deep golden and the eggs are fully set.
Serving
  1. Allow the pizza square to cool for 5 minutes before cutting into 12 squares.
  2. Garnish with black olive slices to create spiders and add sliced green onion, if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months. Reheat in a 350°F oven or microwave for best results. Avoid using dough straight from the fridge without warming it slightly.
