  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) Fresh berries bring a colorful touch.
Tools
  • 1 fruit knife For carving the melon.
  • 1 bowl or tray for serving To hold and showcase the fruit basket.

Method

Preparation
  1. Carefully carve your large melon into a basket shape using a fruit knife. Start by cutting a lid for the basket and then scoop out the insides.
  2. Once your basket is made, scoop out the flesh of the melon and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, combine the chopped melon pieces with a mix of fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Gently toss the fruit together to avoid crushing the berries.
  4. Fill the carved melon basket with the fruit mixture, letting the colorful berries peek out.
  5. Place the fruit basket in the refrigerator to chill before serving.

Notes

This fruit basket is perfect for sunny afternoons and potlucks. Optionally, serve with a drizzle of honey or yogurt on the side for added flavor. Be sure to use ripe melons for the best taste.
