- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Gently fold in the halved fresh cranberries.
- Fill the muffin cups about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
