  • 1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth Can substitute with vegetable broth for a meat-free option.

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the ground turkey, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper.
  2. Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Pour in the chicken broth.
  3. Stir all the ingredients together thoroughly, making sure everything is well combined.
  4. Cover the slow cooker, and set it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, serve the chili hot, and enjoy your healthy meal.

Notes

This chili is versatile; you can swap beans or add other vegetables to your taste. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 4-5 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
