Ingredients

Gelatin Layers
  • 1 box yellow gelatin
  • 1 box orange gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water divided into two portions
  • 1 cup cold vodka divided into two portions
  • whipped cream for topping

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by dissolving the orange gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved. Once mixed, add in 1/2 cup of cold vodka.
  2. Pour the orange gelatin mixture into shot cups, filling them about halfway. Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes, or until firm.
  3. Prepare the yellow gelatin using the remaining cup of boiling water. Stir until dissolved, then add the remaining 1/2 cup of cold vodka.
  4. Once the orange layer has fully set, carefully pour the yellow gelatin over the top of the orange layer in each shot cup. Return the cups to the fridge and let them chill for at least 3 hours until set.
  5. Once the layers are firm, top each jello shot with a small dollop of whipped cream.
  6. Serve chilled at your Halloween gathering and enjoy!

Notes

Store jello shots in the fridge for up to 5 days and keep covered. Avoid freezing to maintain texture. If softening, let sit at room temperature for a few minutes.
