Ingredients

Cheese Ingredients
  • 16 oz block mozzarella cheese, cut into rectangular 'bone' shapes Use low-moisture mozzarella for the best firmness.
  • 16 oz block cheddar cheese, cut into rectangular 'bone' shapes Alternatively, use gouda or provolone for a milder flavor.
Platter Components
  • 2 cups oyster crackers or small round crackers For the ribcage and joints.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved For accents and freshness.
  • 1 cup cucumber slices For a crunchy texture.
  • 2 pieces pitted black olives For the eyes.
  • 1 box long breadsticks For arm and leg bones.

Method

Preparation

  2. Prep all ingredients: slice mozzarella and cheddar into 'bone' shapes, halve cherry tomatoes, slice cucumber, and unwrap breadsticks.
Assembly
  1. Arrange long breadsticks to form arms and legs, and place cheese pieces vertically for the spine.
  2. Use a round cracker or cheese circle for the skull.
  3. Fill in the ribcage with oyster crackers or thin strips of cheese in a curved pattern.
  4. Add olive halves as eyes and a small cracker for the nose.
  5. Scatter halved cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices for color and freshness.
Serving

Notes

Best served right after assembly to prevent crackers from becoming soggy. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
