Preparation
- Press two mini chocolate chips into one side of each marshmallow to create ghost eyes. Set aside.
- Pour the whole milk into a saucepan and warm it over medium-low heat until steam rises and small bubbles form around the edges, about 5-6 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the chopped white chocolate. Whisk gently until melted and smooth.
- Whisk in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Pour the white hot chocolate into mugs and float two marshmallow ghosts on top of each.
- Add a dollop of whipped cream if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
Store any leftover hot chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. The texture may thicken as it cools. Avoid freezing as it may separate upon thawing. Reheat gently to restore creamy consistency.
