Ingredients
  

Pudding Base
  • 1 box (5.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix Use a good-quality brand for the best result.
  • 3 cups cold milk Avoid low-fat or non-dairy alternatives for best texture.
Toppings
  • 20 pieces chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
  • 12 pieces gummy worms Add whimsical touch.
  • 8 pieces rectangular chocolate cookies (for tombstones) Use Milano-style or similar.
  • to taste white decorating gel For writing on tombstones.

Method
 

Prepare Pudding
  1. Pour the instant chocolate pudding mix into a large bowl and add the cold milk. Whisk vigorously for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  2. Place the bowl in the refrigerator to chill for 5 minutes.
Fold in Cookie Crumbs
  1. While the pudding chills, crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into crumbs and reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
  2. Fold the remaining cookie crumbs into the chilled pudding until it appears speckled.
Assemble Pudding Cups
  1. Spoon the pudding mixture into 8 small cups or jars, filling each about three-quarters full.
  2. Sprinkle the reserved cookie crumbs on top.
Decorate
  1. Push 1 to 2 gummy worms into the cookie crumbs to represent worms in dirt.
  2. Use white decorating gel to write 'RIP' or a design on each chocolate cookie and place them upright in the cups.
Chill and Serve
  1. Chill the assembled pudding cups for at least 20 to 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freezing is not recommended. Serve directly from the refrigerator for best texture.
