Ingredients

Cake Ingredients
  • 1 box chocolate marble cake mix (plus ingredients per box) Use high-quality cake mix or homemade if preferred.
  • 1 box orange jello For a different flavor, consider lemon or raspberry jello.
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water Mix with boiling water for jello preparation.
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (thawed) You can substitute with homemade whipped cream.
  • Halloween sprinkles Use as much as desired for decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven as directed on the cake mix box and prepare a 9x13 pan by greasing it.
  2. Mix the chocolate marble cake batter according to the box directions and pour it into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake according to the instructions on the box. Allow the cake to cool for about 20 minutes.
Assembly
  1. Take the handle of a wooden spoon and gently poke holes all over the cooled cake.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the orange jello powder in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved. Mix in 1/2 cup of cold water.
  3. Carefully pour the jello mixture slowly over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
  4. Cover the cake with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  5. Spread the thawed Cool Whip evenly over the top of the cake and decorate with Halloween sprinkles.
  6. Slice and serve chilled.
