Ingredients

For the Spider Bites
  • 24 pieces round pretzel snaps or mini pretzel twists
  • 24 pieces chocolate caramel candies (such as Rolos) or chocolate buttons Ensure they are high quality for best results.
  • 48 pieces thin pretzel sticks, broken in half Used as spider legs.
  • 24 pieces candy eyeballs For decorating the spiders.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the round pretzel snaps or mini twists in a single layer on the lined baking sheet.
  3. Top each pretzel with one chocolate caramel candy or chocolate button.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes, watching closely until the chocolate becomes soft but not fully melted.
  2. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately press four broken pretzel stick halves into each piece of softened chocolate to create the spider legs.
  3. While the chocolate is still soft, place two candy eyeballs on top of each chocolate piece.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow the spider bites to cool at room temperature or chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to set.
  2. Serve at room temperature and store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Notes

For best results, do not overbake the chocolate. Watch closely to ensure it doesn’t turn too liquid. Chill bites for about 10 minutes to set the chocolate properly.
