Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the round pretzel snaps or mini twists in a single layer on the lined baking sheet.
- Top each pretzel with one chocolate caramel candy or chocolate button.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes, watching closely until the chocolate becomes soft but not fully melted.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately press four broken pretzel stick halves into each piece of softened chocolate to create the spider legs.
- While the chocolate is still soft, place two candy eyeballs on top of each chocolate piece.
Cooling and Serving
- Allow the spider bites to cool at room temperature or chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to set.
- Serve at room temperature and store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Notes
For best results, do not overbake the chocolate. Watch closely to ensure it doesn’t turn too liquid. Chill bites for about 10 minutes to set the chocolate properly.
