Method
Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 270°F and prepare the air fryer basket by ensuring it is clean and dry.
- Place the 6 eggs directly in the basket in a single layer for even cooking.
Cooking
- Cook the eggs in the preheated air fryer at 270°F for 15-17 minutes.
- Check the eggs around the 12-minute mark if you prefer a softer yolk.
Cooling
- While the eggs are cooking, prepare an ice water bath by filling a bowl with cold water and ice.
- Once the cooking time is up, transfer the eggs into the ice water bath and let them sit for 10 minutes.
Peeling
- After the eggs have cooled, hold each egg under running water while peeling to help prevent tearing of the egg white.
Storage
- Store the peeled or unpeeled eggs in a covered container in the fridge, best eaten within a week.
Notes
For best results, use eggs that are a few days old for easy peeling. Consider adding vinegar to the water for flavor while peeling. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking.
