  • 1/2 cup orange juice Reserve half for the pumpkin layer.
For the Pumpkin Layer
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree Can substitute with butternut squash puree.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Can substitute with maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Top Layer
  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk Can substitute with coconut milk for a tropical twist.
  • to taste cups ice cubes Use just enough to create a frothy top.

Method
 

Preparation of Smoothie Base
  1. In a blender, combine the banana, Greek yogurt, and half of the orange juice. Blend until smooth, ensuring there are no lumps.
Preparation of Pumpkin Layer
  1. In a separate container, mix the pumpkin puree, remaining orange juice, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir well until fully combined.
Layering the Smoothie
  1. Pour the banana yogurt layer into a glass, filling it halfway.
  2. Gently add the pumpkin layer on top, taking care to maintain distinct layers.
Preparing the Top Layer
  1. In a blender, combine the vanilla almond milk and ice cubes, blending until frothy.
Assembly and Enjoyment
  1. Pour the frothy almond milk mixture over the pumpkin layer and serve with a straw.

Notes

Store leftover smoothie in the fridge for up to 2 days. For freezing, store in airtight containers for up to 3 months. Reheat gently if desired.
