Honey Garlic Little Smokies

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 12-14 ounces Little smokies Beef or pork both work.
  • 1/2 cup Honey Brings sweetness and sticky texture.
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup Adds tang and richness.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce For salty balance.
  • 3 cloves Fresh minced garlic Garlic powder can be substituted.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Optional for heat.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Spray your slow cooker with nonstick spray or use a liner.
  2. Add the little smokies to the slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, stir together honey, ketchup, soy sauce, and garlic. Mix in optional heat if desired.
  4. Pour the sauce over the smokies and stir to coat.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours or on high for 1 to 1.5 hours. Stir occasionally.
  6. Once hot throughout and the sauce appears glossy, switch to warm for serving.

Notes

Serve in the slow cooker on warm with toothpicks. Optional toppings: sesame seeds or sliced green onions. Adjust sweetness and saltiness to taste. Can be prepped ahead of time and refrigerated before cooking.
