Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces Choose bright red cuts for freshness.
  • 2 cups asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 tablespoons butter Can substitute with olive oil for dairy-free.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use pre-minced garlic for convenience if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Used for cooking steak.
  • salt and pepper, to taste Season modestly to avoid overpowering the dish.
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish Adds a fresh touch for serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the bite-sized pieces of steak with salt and pepper.
Cooking Steak
  1. Once the skillet is hot, add the seasoned steak bites in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Making Garlic Butter
  1. In the same skillet, reduce the heat slightly and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Sautéing Asparagus
  1. Toss the chopped asparagus into the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender but still crisp.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet with the asparagus and stir together for an additional minute to heat everything through.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat, serve hot, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
