  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Can substitute with avocado or canola oil.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Consider making your own seasoning if desired.
  • 1 head lettuce (Butter or Romaine) These leaves will serve as the wrap.
Toppings (Optional)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Optional ingredient.
  • 1 whole avocado, diced Optional ingredient.
  • salsa For added creaminess.
  • sour cream Optional ingredient.

Method
 

Cooking Turkey
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the ground turkey to the skillet and break it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the browned turkey, adding any necessary water or broth. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes.
Preparing Lettuce
  1. While the turkey is cooking, separate the lettuce leaves from the head and wash them gently under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.
Assembling Wraps
  1. Spoon a generous amount of the turkey mixture onto each lettuce leaf.
  2. Add diced tomatoes, cheese, diced avocado, salsa, and sour cream as desired.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately while warm and fresh, allowing guests to customize their wraps.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For freezing, the turkey mixture can last about 2-3 months.
