  • 1 pound Ground turkey Choose lean or extra lean for best flavor.
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves (e.g., romaine or butter lettuce) Use the largest leaves for wrapping.
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes Avoid adding too early to keep lettuce crisp.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Cheddar or your cheese of choice.
  • 1 medium Avocado Slice for topping.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream Optional; can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder Adjust according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground turkey. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until it is no longer pink.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly mixed.
  3. While the turkey cooks, wash and separate the lettuce leaves. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
Assembly
  1. On each lettuce leaf, spoon a generous amount of the cooked turkey.
  2. Then, add diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and avocado slices to each wrap.
  3. Top each wrap with a dollop of sour cream.
  4. Carefully roll up each lettuce leaf to form a wrap and serve immediately.

Notes

Ideal for low-carb meals; can add toppings like turkey bacon or black beans. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days.
