For the Pitas
  • 4 pieces Pita bread Use flatbreads or tortillas if desired.
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Pizza sauce Spread evenly to prevent burning.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese You can substitute with a blend of Italian cheeses or go dairy-free.
  • 1 cup Turkey pepperoni Look for brands with minimal additives.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil Avocado oil or melted butter can also be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Fresh basil or Italian seasoning can be used as alternatives.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Lay the pita bread flat on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over each pita, covering the edges.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
  5. Layer turkey pepperoni slices on top of the cheese, to your liking.
  6. Drizzle olive oil over the pizzas and finish with a sprinkle of oregano.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Notes

These mini pizzas are great for customizing with different toppings or sauces. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat on the stovetop for best results.
