Ingredients
  

For the Lemonade
  • 4-6 pieces Fresh lemons Depending on size; roll them on the counter to release more juice.
  • 1 small handful Fresh mint leaves Choose bright leaves; thicker stems may taste grassy.
  • to taste Sugar or honey Sweeten according to preference.
  • 4 cups Cold water Can be still or sparkling.
  • as needed cups Ice
  • a pinch Salt Optional, enhances lemon flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Make a quick sweetener: Mix sugar or honey with warm water until dissolved.
  2. Juice the lemons, straining out seeds if desired.
  3. Bruise the mint leaves in the bottom of a pitcher to release aroma.
  4. Combine lemon juice, sweetener, and cold water in the pitcher. Stir well and adjust to taste.
  5. Chill the mixture and serve over ice.

Notes

For a more personalized drink, guests can customize their glass with extra mint, lemon slices, and sugar or honey. Keep it fresh within 24-48 hours.
