  • 2 fillets salmon fillets Fresh salmon fillets are recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Maple syrup or agave nectar can be used as substitutes.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is preferred, but garlic powder can be used in a pinch.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Tamari is a gluten-free alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Avocado oil or sesame oil can also be used.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for seasoning.
  • Chopped green onions for garnish Chives or parsley can be used as a substitute.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well blended and set it aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. While the skillet is heating, season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cooking
  1. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  2. Carefully flip the salmon over with a spatula and pour the honey garlic mixture over the top of each fillet.
  3. Continue to cook the salmon for an additional 3-4 minutes or until it is cooked through and flakes easily.
Serving
  1. Remove the salmon from the skillet and garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy your meal!

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
