Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 6-8 pieces fresh peaches Ripe peaches preferred.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust according to preference.
Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk Can substitute with almond milk for lactose-free.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon For sprinkling on top.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Peel and slice the peaches, then mix them with sugar and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix melted butter and milk, then fold in the dry mixture until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish evenly.
  2. Layer the prepared peaches over the batter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  3. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Check for doneness using a toothpick.
Serving
  1. Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving warm, preferably with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For best results, allow peaches to macerate with sugar for a bit. Avoid over-mixing the batter to keep it airy.
