  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Decorative Ingredients

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and baking soda. Stir until smooth.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls about 1 inch in diameter and place on the baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 8-10 minutes, ensuring they are set but still soft in the center.
  2. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
Decorating and Serving
  1. Decorate with chocolate icing to create spider legs and add candy eyes.
  2. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
