Ingredients
  

For the Pumpkin Mixture
  • 2 tbsp canned pumpkin puree Use 100% pure pumpkin, not pie filling.
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice Plus more for garnish.
For the Latte
  • 1 cup whole milk Can substitute with dairy-free milk.
  • 1/2 cup hot brewed espresso Can replace with strong hot coffee.
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract Add after removing from heat.
  • 1 serving whipped cream Optional for topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, and pumpkin pie spice for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the whole milk and whisk well. Heat gently for 3 to 4 minutes until steaming, being careful not to boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Optional: Blend the milk mixture with a frother or blender for a frothy latte.
Brew and Serve
  1. Prepare your espresso or strong coffee and pour it into a mug.
  2. Pour the hot pumpkin spice milk over the coffee.
  3. Top with whipped cream, if desired, and sprinkle extra pumpkin pie spice on top. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store any leftover pumpkin milk base in the fridge for up to 3 days. For freezing, keep in a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month.
