  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Can be substituted with honey or agave syrup.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Alternatively, use nutmeg or pumpkin spice.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Coconut oil may be used as a substitute.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Cayenne can be used for a spicy kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and gather all ingredients.
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and cube them into uniform bite-sized pieces.
Tossing and Roasting
  1. In a large bowl, combine the cubed sweet potatoes with olive oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Toss until well coated.
  2. Spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Roast for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and caramelized.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, allow to cool for a few minutes, and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes or microwave until warm.
