Preparation
- Place sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Season the pork shoulder generously with salt and pepper, then layer it on top of the onion and garlic.
Cooking
- Pour barbecue sauce and chicken broth over the pork.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for about 8 hours.
Finishing Touches
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- In a separate bowl, mix coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the warm pulled pork on slider buns, topped with prepared slaw.
Notes
Store pulled pork in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of barbecue sauce to keep it moist.
