Slaw Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Adds creaminess to the slaw.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season the pork shoulder generously with salt and pepper, then layer it on top of the onion and garlic.
Cooking
  1. Pour barbecue sauce and chicken broth over the pork.
  2. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for about 8 hours.
Finishing Touches
  1. Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Serve the warm pulled pork on slider buns, topped with prepared slaw.

Notes

Store pulled pork in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of barbecue sauce to keep it moist.
