- In a medium bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using, until well blended.
- Place the pork shoulder into the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over it, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for about 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
Serving
- Once the cooking time is up, remove the pork and shred the meat using two forks.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker, mix well with the sauce, and serve on buns.
- Add more BBQ sauce on top if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat on the stovetop or microwave.
