  • 2 tbsp fresh sage Dried herbs can be used; reduce the amount to one-third.
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme Dried herbs can be used; reduce the amount to one-third.
  • 1 cup chicken broth For a vegetarian option, use vegetable broth.
  • 2 tbsp flour Can substitute with cornstarch, mixed with cold water first.
  • Pan drippings Used for making the gravy.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix the softened butter with the minced garlic, fresh sage, and thyme in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Rub the herb butter all over the turkey breast, ensuring some is tucked under the skin.
  3. Place the turkey in the slow cooker and pour the chicken broth around it.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, checking the internal temperature to ensure it reaches at least 165°F.
Finishing Touches
  1. Remove the turkey from the slow cooker and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Whisk the flour into the cooking liquid and simmer for five minutes to thicken, then serve the sliced turkey with gravy.
