  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Gluten-free flour can be used as a substitute.
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened) Softened for easy mixing.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish generously.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine chopped pecans, flour, and softened butter until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the pecan crumb mixture evenly over the sweet potato layer.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and casserole is heated through.
  2. Allow cooling slightly before serving to help the casserole set.

Notes

Ensure sweet potatoes are cooked until tender before mashing. For best results, allow to sit after baking before serving to prevent it from falling apart.
