For the Sandwich
  • 2 slices sliced bread Soft, sliced bread for grilling.
  • 4 ounces provolone cheese Fresh slices, preferably mild.
  • 1 cup cooked buffalo chicken Shredded or diced buffalo chicken.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For grilling the sandwich.
For the Flavor
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce Adjust amount based on heat preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer provolone cheese, cooked buffalo chicken, and another layer of provolone cheese.
  4. Place another slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
Cooking
  1. Grill the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, gently pressing down with a spatula.
  2. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Pairs well with a light side salad or potato chips. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. These sandwiches freeze well for up to two months.
