Ingredients
  

For the crepe batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Finely milled and fresh for best results.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted Plus more for brushing the skillet.
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 0.75 cups Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread Divided for filling and decoration.
For garnishing
  • Powdered sugar For dusting before serving.

Method
 

Preparation of the batter
  1. Combine the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, and salt in a blender. Blend until very smooth.
  2. Let the batter rest at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
Cooking the crepes
  1. Heat an 8-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat and brush lightly with butter.
  2. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan, tilting and swirling to spread evenly and thinly.
  3. Cook for 1 to 1 and 1/2 minutes until edges lift and bottom turns light golden.
  4. Flip carefully and cook for another 30 to 45 seconds. Stack cooked crepes on a plate.
Filling and decorating
  1. Warm 1/2 cup of Nutella in the microwave for 15-20 seconds until pourable.
  2. Spread a thin layer of unheated Nutella onto each cooked crepe and fold into quarters.
Creating the spiderweb design
  1. Arrange folded crepes on a serving plate.
  2. Transfer warmed Nutella into a small piping bag. Pipe thin concentric circles over the crepes.
  3. Drag lines from the center outward with a toothpick to form the spiderweb pattern.
Final touches
  1. Dust crepes with powdered sugar and serve immediately.

Notes

These crepes can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Use parchment paper to separate stacked crepes for freezing. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave with a damp paper towel.
