  • 2 oz bourbon or whiskey Substitutable with rum or vodka.
  • 1 tbsp honey Can be replaced with maple syrup.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Use fresh for best results.

  • 2 whole cloves For an aromatic flavor.
  • 1 slice orange For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the apple cider in a small saucepan over medium heat, being careful not to bring it to a boil.
  2. Once the cider is steaming, add the cinnamon stick and cloves, and let it simmer for about five minutes.
  3. Remove the spices and stir in the honey and lemon juice until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour the warm spiced cider into a mug, then gently stir in the bourbon.
  5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and an orange slice.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, omit the bourbon. Customize the sweetness to your preference by adjusting honey. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
