Preparation
- Begin by halving the hard-boiled eggs lengthwise. Gently scoop the yolks into a bowl while arranging the egg whites on a platter.
- In the bowl with the yolks, add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mash the mixture together until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Using a piping bag or a spoon, carefully fill the hollowed egg whites with the yolk mixture, ensuring an even distribution.
- Once all the eggs are filled, gently sprinkle paprika over each one to add flavor and enhance visual appeal.
- For the spider legs, cut the black olives into thin strips. You will need 4 strips per egg. Carefully arrange these strips on each side of the filled egg halves.
- Add a small piece of olive at the center of each egg to serve as the spider's body or eyes.
- Finally, refrigerate the spooky spider deviled eggs until it's time to serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Do not freeze. If serving warm, gently reheat at a low temperature.
